Rick Carlisle was the head coach of the Mavericks from 2008 to 2021. He led the Mavericks to the franchise's first NBA Championship in its second Finals appearance in 2011.

Jason Frederick Kidd (born March 23, 1973) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for the Dallas Mavericks. Kidd was named the 10th head coach in Mavericks history on June 28, 2021. He was inducted to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018.

Eric Hughes enters his first season with the Dallas Mavericks as an assistant coach. Previously, he served as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers.
